Dubai: This summer, Saudi Arabia is experiencing an unusual meteorological phenomenon, with numerous locations being covered with moderate to heavy rainfall, along with hailstorms and strong winds. Residents and visitors are encouraged to go outside by the gorgeous landscapes created by the weather, which is full of mist and vivid foliage. On Friday, the extraordinary weather reached its peak in Jazan, where the city had the most rainfall in ten years—184mm—in a single day. This exceeded the previous high of 182 mm, which was recorded in Jeddah in 2022. The amount of rain caused enough damage to cause school timetable adjustments and a transfer of in-person classes to online learning environments in the impacted areas.
