The Saudi Red Sea Authority grants licenses for marinas.

RIYADH: Al-Ahlam Marina in Jeddah and Jazan, as well as the Red Sea Marina in Jeddah, have licenses from the Saudi Red Sea Authority.

In an attempt to fulfil the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in developing the coastline tourism industry, the government is granting permits to control marine tourism.

The authority can maintain and protect the marine environment while also raising the standard of services offered to tourists and visitors by controlling the operation of marinas.

The authority conducts routine field trips to tourist marinas in Yanbu, Jeddah, Jazan, and Al-Lith in order to offer technical and advisory help.

In order to obtain a licence from the relevant authority, marina operators are required to guarantee adherence to global standards.

In order to improve integration among pertinent entities, the Saudi Red Sea Authority started developing and regulating the coastal tourism industry in 2021. This included issuing licenses and permits, developing crucial policies and strategies, determining the necessary infrastructure, protecting the marine environment, drawing in investments, and promoting navigational and marine tourism activities.
