After Real Madrid defeated Atalanta in their record-breaking sixth UEFA Super Cup, Carlo Ancelotti revealed his team "were suffering."

Ancelotti observed as his team had a difficult first half, managing just three shots with an expected goals (xG) total of 0.38.

After the break, Madrid's finest chance came from Rodrygo, who struck the crossbar with a shot, but Federico Valverde and Kylian Mbappe scored goals to seal the victory with a much-improved performance.

Although he matched Miguel Munoz as the Madrid coach with the most titles (14), Ancelotti was happy with the outcome and appreciated the challenge of the match.
