RIYADH: The Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday that more than 25,000 carpets have been installed in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah to provide comfort to pilgrims and worshippers.

The mosque's carpets, which are arranged across its courtyards and roof area, are cleaned and scented with the best fresheners every day to guarantee that they are fragrant and hygienic for worshippers.

The plush carpets stand out due to their thickness and durability. Every carpet is equipped with an electronic chip that tracks its whereabouts and the times it was washed, sterilised, raised, and perfumed.
