At Rogers Place on Wednesday night, the Edmonton Oilers pulled off a thrilling comeback victory over the Seattle Kraken, 4-3 in overtime.

With a natural hat trick, Evander Kane spearheaded the comeback as the Oilers won three in a row.

After the game, Kane remarked, "Going into a long road trip, to finally get a couple of wins at home in a row is nice."
"The final 12 minutes of the second quarter were nearly atrocious," expressed Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch following the match.

However, we demonstrated a great deal of heart and tenacity to stick with it in the third period.
With 13 saves in the first period, goalie Stuart Skinner held tall for the Oilers, including a crucial glove snaffle on a wide-open puck. Oliver Bjorkstrand prior to the start of the two-minute game

Defenseman Darnell Nurse of the Oilers praised Skinner, saying, "He was spectacular for us tonight."
At 5:21 of the second period, Oilers captain Connor McDavid opened the score. When he received a pass from Leon Draisaitl and beat Seattle goaltender Joey Daccord with a backhand, he was already in full speed.

Two minutes later, forward Jared McCann's goal for the Kraken knotted the score. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare deflected Vince Dunn's attempt to put the Kraken up.

Late in the second, Alex Wennberg's twisting shot from in close made it 3-1 for the Kraken.

"Our penalty kill did a great job and we got into a little penalty trouble in the first half of the third period," Kane stated.

"We won because of the PK, which was excellent," Skinner remarked.



Knoblauch continued, "What I saw was a group of guys willing to block shots."

With 6:32 remaining in the third, Kane tipped in a pass from Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard. With 45.4 seconds remaining, Kane lifted the ball over Daccord to tie the game at three points, with Skinner sitting on the bench as an extra attacker.

With 2:03 remaining in overtime, Kane won it by one-timing a pass from Zach Hyman.



Knoblauch continued, "What I saw was a group of guys willing to block shots."

With 6:32 remaining in the third, Kane tipped in a pass from Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard. With 45.4 seconds remaining, Kane lifted the ball over Daccord to tie the game at three points, with Skinner sitting on the bench as an extra attacker.

With 2:03 remaining in overtime, Kane won it by one-timing a pass from Zach Hyman.
