Indonesia supports Saudi Arabia's World Cup 2034 bid.

18 October Reuters The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), a week after its president Erick Thohir declared that the group was in discussions with Australia about a possible joint candidature for the competition, declared on Wednesday that it was endorsing Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 World Cup.

According to a statement from Thohir, "Indonesia supports Saudi Arabia's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034." "Indonesia continues to prepare for its bid to host the FIFA World Cup after 2034, as well as other FIFA competitions."

Asia and Oceania are invited to submit bids for the 2034 competition by FIFA, with a deadline of October 31.

 

Thohir stated last week that he and his Australian colleague had talked about a possible deal that might have included Singapore and Malaysia.

 

Football Australia had announced earlier that they would think about putting in a bid for the tournament.
